Hi everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying this last blast of summer weather you have all been having. Completely over the drizzly English August weather - Paul and I decided to head off back down to Spain for a cheeky week before Sophie started back at school. Typical, that literally the moment we left England, the sun started to shine and the weather became more Summer than Autumn. I do really hope though that it continues for as long as possible, my Northern English Mother-in-law has always said that if you get a "good back end" the winter doesn't seem so long. She's totally right, even if her descriptive wording has made me giggle for many years!
While down in Spain, Paul and I took the opportunity for a little non-teenager, adult time and enjoyed lunch at the beautiful Finca de Cortesin Beach Club, which is about 5 minutes away from our place. This fabulous hotel will host the Solheim Cup in about a weeks time (for those of you who don't have a golf obsessed hubby/partner/friend, such as mine, this is the ladies equivalent of the Ryder Cup for men). We've had such a huge summer this year with my parents over from Oz for 3 months, all the kids back from Uni and various extra's over constantly; it was just really nice to have a proper catch up and relax. I took loads of photos as the decor was just gorgeous - all clipped hedges, whitewashed lap and cap walls, swaying palms and thatched roof, Hamptons style cabanas... so Island Home! I have posted a reel this week on our social of it, so you can all have a bit of a peek too.
